Trails

The Summit Cycles trail at Nant-yr-Arian Forestry Centre.

The excellent Mountain Bike Trails at the Nant-yr-Arian forestry centre near Ponterwyd on the A44. After helping out with the some of the route design, and organising the 1st volunteer construction day, a couple of years back, Summit Cycles are proud to be title sponsor of the excellent, undulating XC route.

Big thanks go to Andy, Jimmy, Al and the rest of the trail crew for all the seriously hard work that they put into building the trails over a typically wet and cold Welsh winter.

With a little help from Andrew from Mountain Masters and his walking digger they have created some very fine singletrack indeed. Check out the June 2002 issue of MBr magazine for an independent verdict!

The finished product is a winding 9mile route that proves a challenge to new riders, while still offering enough different lines and options to keep the best riders fully occupied.

A second, longer XC route is now under complets, and takes riders out into the more open terrain of the Cambrian Mountains. The route uses existing rights of way, and pupose built singletrack.
