EVENT DATE 14/15 MARCH 2020
The Fox Antifreeze returns to Coed y Brenin on 14th/15th March 2020. The event which has always been popular with our customers makes a great start to the riding year.
Weather at the event has been varied over the years with everything from beautiful sunshine to snow but, in the true spirit or mountain biking, the event always gets a good turn out with all it’s 350 entries selling out every year since the event began.
The event has a different format to many as it has a staggered start. This allows riders to begin their ride at any time during time window when the course start is open. You are chip timed and your timing begins when you cross the start line. Riders then head out to tackle a circular route of around 12km and can elect to ride either 1, 2 or 3 laps of this course. This allows riders to choose a route distance that best fits their ability or fitness level. There is no need to decide beforehand how far you will ride, you simply ride the number of laps of your choosing and your time will be allocated to the appropriate distance event.
The event is a non competitive challenge ride with emphasis on being relaxed and fun. The course takes in a mix of some of Coed y Brenin’s best trails served up in a remixed order that gives them a refreshing new feel.
It’s a great way to give yourself a head start on your riding season, Coed y Brenin’s tree lines slopes give good cover if the weather is less favourable and the trails always deliver come rain or shine.
The event is open to entries now with an early bird discount if you use the code EARLYBIRD
