This versatile softshell has been reimagined for on-bike comfort, combining wind resistance and breathability with a saddle-ready fit. The stretchy Matrix™ fabric is fast-drying and offers complete freedom of movement.
Breathable and lightweight yet wind-resistant and durable, this adaptable softshell jacket is an essential piece for all your two-wheeled adventures.
Our Cinder Borealis Jacket is inspired by the unique challenges of a day in the saddle, combining wind resistance, breathability and a tailored on-bike fit. The durable Matrix™ fabric is fast-drying and stretchy, allowing you total freedom of movement, while the fluorocarbon-free DWR deflects drizzle and offers protection against changeable conditions.
Lightweight and with a small pack size, this versatile softshell jacket is perfect for pulling out when the weather turns or stowing away in its own pocket when not needed. The side pocket doubles up as a stuff sack, and is ideal for stashing essentials.
A soft stand-up collar seals out the elements, while stretch cuffs extend over the backs of your hands, shielding them against the cold during exposed rides. The jacket’s fit is optimised for on-bike comfort, with sleeve articulation and a dropped rear hem with silicone grip, to secure the jacket in place when putting down the power.
Summit Cycles work will all major providers of the government backed Cycle to Work scheme. If you would like to buy a bike from us using the scheme your employer offers you will need to contact us to discuss the arrangements and eligibility of your purchase. Cycle to Work schemes are a great way to buy a bike and can offer a big saving on the price of your purchase but the ways that each individual scheme operate can vary so it is worth taking some time to find out exactly how your scheme works.
At Summit Cycles we aim to make our part of the process of buying by a Cycle to Work scheme as easy and as simple as possible. We can help you find the right bike and any accessories or extras you will need to make sure you are 100% ready to enjoy your purchased.
The best starting point is to speak with your human resources manager or the person responsible for administering the scheme your employer offers to find out who the provider is and the terms and conditions of the scheme they offer. You can often begin the application process by registering directly with the provider, often via their website. Many providers will ask us to provide a quote for the purchase so this is when you will need to speak to us to check eligibility and of course availability of your chosen bike but our staff can help you make the best choice, guiding you to the right bike and accessories and then raising the information you will need.
Processing can take a little time but often we can secure the bike you want with the payment of a deposit, refundable when the scheme provider issues confirmation certificate or payment.
