The 20-inch kids’ hybrid bike, has been carefully designed to help maximise the lifetime of the bike for a growing child. It is the ideal multi-purpose bike for 5 to 8-year-olds with an average inside leg of 53cm.
The handlebars can be lowered or raised within a range of 40mm and adjusting the seat height is easy to do at home with the quick release system. This means a Frog Bike will grow with your child making it a great investment.
The bike also offers a lower bottom bracket position to ensure a safer riding position with feet closer to the ground, whilst allowing for a greater leg-length range to be accommodated. An additional 10mm spacer is placed above the handlebar stem to give the option to raise the handlebars higher as your child grows.
Designed and built in Great Britain, our hybrid bikes are perfect for roads, pavements, towpaths and forest trails. They come with mudguards and the option to attach a pannier rack to the frame, for ease of transporting school books and sports kits.
Our bikes inspire children to ride. From their lightweight child-specific frame that is easy to handle and manoeuvre, to the brakes that are specifically designed for small hands to grab, this all results in a confident bike rider who will jump at every opportunity to get out on their bike exploring.

Summit Cycles work will all major providers of the government backed Cycle to Work scheme. If you would like to buy a bike from us using the scheme your employer offers you will need to contact us to discuss the arrangements and eligibility of your purchase. Cycle to Work schemes are a great way to buy a bike and can offer a big saving on the price of your purchase but the ways that each individual scheme operate can vary so it is worth taking some time to find out exactly how your scheme works.
At Summit Cycles we aim to make our part of the process of buying by a Cycle to Work scheme as easy and as simple as possible. We can help you find the right bike and any accessories or extras you will need to make sure you are 100% ready to enjoy your purchased.
The best starting point is to speak with your human resources manager or the person responsible for administering the scheme your employer offers to find out who the provider is and the terms and conditions of the scheme they offer. You can often begin the application process by registering directly with the provider, often via their website. Many providers will ask us to provide a quote for the purchase so this is when you will need to speak to us to check eligibility and of course availability of your chosen bike but our staff can help you make the best choice, guiding you to the right bike and accessories and then raising the information you will need.
Processing can take a little time but often we can secure the bike you want with the payment of a deposit, refundable when the scheme provider issues confirmation certificate or payment.

We do not currently offer to ship bikes purchased via our website, these must be collected from our store. If you see a bike that you are interested in and are unable to collect from us then it may still be worth getting in touch with us to explore further options.
Bikes purchased via our website will be made ready for store collection. This can take a few days depending on where the bike is located. Some bikes will need to ship from a supplier but if this is the case the expected lead time for delivery to us will be displayed on our site. We also hold stock at an off-site storage location and transfer can take a day or so. When we have the bike it will be scheduled for assembly and safety checks with one of our CYTEC mechanics. Once this is complete we will send a final confirmation that the bike is ready for collection and you can then visit the store to pick it up.
With bike purchases, a member of our team will usually contact you prior to processing to check sizing and other details. For bikes in our stock the process from order to collection usually takes 3 or 4 working days but can be quicker sometimes or longer if the bike is shipping to us from a supplier. *subject to change.
We are constantly working on improving our bike range, which sometimes results in a component being replaced by a newer/better version. As a consequence, it is possible that some of the bikes of this range have more up to date components than reflected in this table.
Please note: Manufacturers can sometimes change the specification of the products from time to time.
In contrast to many kids' bikes, Frog bikes are sized by leg length rather than age, as this is the most reliable way of getting the right size of bike for each child. Age alone isn’t a reliable measure as there is a large spread of “normal” leg lengths & heights for each age.
We recommend taking the time to measure the rider’s inside leg - it’s easy to do:
Once you have measured the inside leg, use the table below to find the right size of bike for your child. Please note we give the AVERAGE inside leg length for each bike, with the saddle at its lowest setting (please be aware there is tolerance on each side of this.)
At this height, the child will safely and comfortably be able to get their feet on the ground. Don’t worry - Frog Bikes have long seat posts, so the saddle can be raised a long way as the rider grows.
Now you are ready to visit us. We have a range of bikes available so we can size up the rider to make sure the bike you choose will be a good fit. We will also be able to give you help and advice on size and type of bike.
We also have a video on the best way to measure inseam, the video shows an adult male but the principle is the same for anyone, adult or child, female or male.
We always advise a proper sizing in store as every rider is different and the advice of a trained professional with years of experience in helping riders find the right bike is always helpful. However Frog also produce a useful size chart to help you make sizing decisions.
