Slash 9.8 is a carbon enduro mountain bike built to handle big hits, rail corners and rip down the mountain faster than you ever thought possible. An ultra-stiff and ultra-tough carbon frame, advanced suspension tech and lightning-fast SRAM GX Eagle AXS wireless electronic shifting make this long-travel 29er a worthy contender for any dedicated rider and enduro podium.

You're looking to tackle huge days on huge mountains, whether it's an enduro race or an epic adventure. You want the light weight and muted vibes of a carbon frame, tunable suspension performance and the precise shifts of a GX Eagle AXS drivetrain.

A full OCLV Mountain Carbon frame with 160 mm of travel and a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ RT shock, plus a RockShox ZEB Select+ fork with extra-beefy 38 mm stanchions. A SRAM fully wireless GX AXS 12-speed drivetrain and Bontrager Line Elite 30 carbon wheels with a 108-tooth Rapid Drive hub for instant acceleration when you need it most.

This is a beast of a mountain bike. You get top-notch suspension technology, rad carbon wheels and the outstanding cable-free shifting of a SRAM AXS drivetrain.
- The RockShox ZEB fork's bigger 38 mm stanchions help you stay on your line through the chunky stuff, while the updated damper lets you dial in the feel
- The SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain is smart, smooth and completely wireless
- We added a second down tube guard to better protect your frame from shuttle-related damage
- Wider seat tube, wider dropper - the 34.9 mm diameter post is stronger, more durable, and moves up and down faster
- A large internal storage compartment in the down tube lets you stow tools and gear

Internal Storage
Internal frame storage makes it easy to ditch the pack and still carry your ride essentials.

Active Braking Pivot
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most.

Complete frame protection
Replaceable down tube guards protect the underside of your frame from rock strikes, trail debris and janky shuttle vehicles so you can forget about damage worries and focus on blasting the next run.

OCLV Mountain Carbon
Trek's mountain-specific carbon fibre is tougher carbon, with unique materials and lay-up procedures, Trek's advanced engineering, and a higher standard of testing.

You almost forgot your pedals
This bike doesn't come with pedals because you'll have a better ride if you choose your own. Explore the pedal guide to find the best pedals for your riding style. Reach for flat pedals for simple versatility or go for clipless MTB pedals if you want control and efficiency.

Arrangements and order processing times on new bike purchases

Bikes purchased via our website will be made ready for store collection. This can take a few days depending on where the bike is located. Some bikes will need to ship from a supplier but if this is the case the expected lead time for delivery to us will be displayed on our site. We also hold stock at an off-site storage location and transfer can take a day or so. When we have the bike it will be scheduled for assembly and safety checks with one of our CYTEC mechanics. Once this is complete we will send a final confirmation that the bike is ready for collection and you can then visit the store to pick it up.

With bike purchases, a member of our team will usually contact you prior to processing to check sizing and other details. For bikes in our stock the process from order to collection usually takes 3 or 4 working days but can be quicker sometimes or longer if the bike is shipping to us from a supplier. A member of our team will be able to give you more information if required.
